WELDERS AND WELDERS HELPERS
Welders are responsible for welding the project pipe together for various crews during the project such as welding pipe together for road bore crews, directional drills, pipe gang, firing line, and testing and tie-in crews.
Welder Helpers assist the welder; they prepare all pipe ends to be welded with buffing being the most common method. The helpers also maintain a clean welding area during the weld process, again by buffing and in some cases grinding the weld metal pass made by their welder.
